A product that still looks good after a few months is more impressive than something only good on arrival. I try to balance my budget between basic everyday items and a few special pieces. Forums, blogs and communities create a kind of collective memory for shoppers. Nose pads that are too hard leave marks and feel uncomfortable on the skin.

A good store usually answers questions quickly and does not hide behind canned messages. Of course we all have different taste, but patterns still appear in long discussions. When a store shows clear shoulder width, bust, waist and length, it is much easier to choose. I also check if the store explains how to measure PD and frame size clearly. I do not trust only the star rating, I like to see detailed photos and longer comments.
