On 25/9/2011 the Ukrainian Youth Association in Sydney moved its DIM MOLODI (Youth Centre) from the old building into a new one. The move started with a Divine Liturgy celebrated by His Grace Bishop Petro Stasiuk, followed by a memorial service (“panakhyda”) for the repose of the souls of those who contributed to the building of the first Youth Centre (“Dim Molodi”).

After the service, and despite the rain (IT WAS POURING), a delegation went to the old Dim Molodi to bring down the flags and proceeded to the official opening of the new Dim Molodi.

It was opened by the temporary ambassador of Ukraine Mr. Stanislav Stashevskyj and Darka Senko – president of the Ukrainian Youth Association. It was a very moving day – lots of memories of hundreds of concerts, dances and other events we had in that so-called “old building”.
